Our endoskeleton is made up of bones and cartilages. The tendons and muscles keep the bones attached to each other and help them to move. Movement is hampered when the tendons and muscles get injured.| . Tendonitis is such a medical term associated to the injury of the tendons. It's common symptoms are pain with burning sensation and stiffness of the joints. Around the joints some knots may form.

Tendonitis treatment is constricted to the use of pain killers and physical therapy. Importance is given to rest and gradual and careful return to physical exercise . To treat tendonitis the acronym "rice" is followed which stands for rest, ice, compress and elevate.Laser therapy is used for chronic tendonitis treatment.

The broken bones get treated through a physiological process in which the body itself heals the injured part. Even though surgery and rest fastens the healing process but the physiological processes of the body play an important role.

physiological healing is done in three phases--:

1. The reactive phase involves the formation of granulation tissues around the inflated injured area.
2. Callus and lamellar depositions are formed in the reparative phase.
3. the final stage is the one in which the bone is brought back to it's original contour.

The physiological process together with rest and encasing of the injured bone helps in healing. physical trauma may be caused to the patient when encasing the broken bone as it is a very painful experience. Such traumatic experiences may cause panic attacks or numbing of the body parts.

So, broken bone healing should have trauma healing as an integral part of it. A number of approaches have been designed keeping this in mind. The trauma related health problems faced by a patient is solved by somatic approach. In this approach the patient's tensions related to his bodily experiences are tried to be released.

In EMDR and other family therapy provided to the traumatized patients, they are made to believe in themselves.

Finally it the person who has already gone through the physical and emotional phases of trauma, can help in understanding the hardships of another such individual and help in the process of healing . A group of such people with past traumatic experiences have formed the National Centre for Trauma-Informed care They give advice to help in the overall healing of the traumatic experiences.
